Join The Connors Agency Team for the 17th Annual Mechanicville-Stillwater Breast Cancer Walk

The Connors Agency is proud to once again sponsor the Mechanicville-Stillwater Breast Cancer Walk, and we are inviting friends, customers, family members, and members of our community to join our team for this year’s walk on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

For 17 years, this event has brought the Mechanicville and Stillwater communities together to support those affected by breast cancer, remember loved ones, and raise funds for organizations providing cancer care and support. The Connors Agency has sponsored the walk since its beginning, and we are proud to continue supporting an event that has become an important part of our community.

The Story Behind the Walk

The Mechanicville-Stillwater Breast Cancer Walk was created in memory of Jessica Mitchell, who passed away on April 15, 2008, following a three-year battle with breast cancer.

Jessica’s family wanted to honor her memory while helping raise awareness and support the search for a cure. The idea for the walk was inspired by Jessica’s son, Matthew, who made a wish to Catherine Lynch to find a cure for the disease his mother had endured.

What began as a way to remember Jessica has grown into an annual community event honoring and supporting all those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.

We would love to have you join The Connors Agency team for this year’s walk. Whether you have participated in the walk before or this will be your first time, we would be happy to have you walk alongside us.

Registration is $30 per person and includes an event T-shirt.

Supporting Cancer Care in Our Community

Funds raised through the Mechanicville-Stillwater Breast Cancer Walk benefit three organizations that provide important resources and support for individuals and families affected by cancer:

• American Cancer Society
• NYOH Community Care Cancer Foundation
• Mollie Wilmot Radiation Oncology Center

Every participant helps contribute to the continued support of these organizations and the people they serve.

For nearly two decades, the Mechanicville-Stillwater Breast Cancer Walk has given our community an opportunity to come together in memory of loved ones, in support of those currently facing breast cancer, and in hope for a future without this disease.
